1. Initial situation

In order to be able to use a telephony DECT handset M65 / M85 with Festnetz+ , it must be coupled once with a telephony DECT transmitter. These instructions describe both the registration process and any deregistration process that may be used. The so-called IPEI number is essential for this registration process.

Deregistration and re-registration in the event of an error

In the event of a problem, Seabix support may ask you to re-register a handset. In this case, the handset must first be deregistered and then re-registered.


2. Find the SBX inventory number and IPEI number

To find the Seabix inventory number or the IPEI number, do the following:

  • Open the back of the handset
  • Remove the battery
  • Below this is the Seabix inventory number and the IPEI number as a barcode

To find the IPEI number via the device menu without switching off the device, proceed as follows:

  • M65 / M85. Press the menu button

  • Then select the settings using the gear button, confirm by clicking on the center of the round navigation button 
  • Click the lower edge of the navigation button until you get to the menu item Status, then confirm again in the middle 
  • Navigate again down to the point IPEI address (e.g. 01: AE: F9: EF: DA)


2. Register the handset

  • M65 / M85. Press the menu button

  • Then select the settings via the registration menu and confirm by clicking on the center of the round navigation button


  • Press the OK button in the center of the navigation button to open the "Connection" menu. The blue background of a line indicates that this option is currently selected. "Register" must be selected to register the handset at the base station

  • Push on M65 / M85. In the next step, select the top empty line and confirm with the navigation key


  • Enter the code provided by Seabix support as the access code and confirm with the navigation key

  • The last step you see is the following, the device is now registered


3. Unregister the handset

  • M65 / M85. Press the menu button

  • Then select the settings via the registration menu and confirm by clicking on the center of the round navigation button

  • In the next menu, select Registr. and confirm with the navigation key
  • Enter the code provided by Seabix Support and confirm with the navigation key ^.
  • Confirm the new query

4. Reset the handset to factory settings

  • M65 / M85. Press the menu button
  • Select the gear and confirm with the navigation key
  • Navigate to the menu item on Settings. reset and confirm with the navigation key
  • Confirm the query with Yes
  • Enter the code provided by Seabix Support and confirm again
