requirements

In order for the GSM switch to be used, the Festnetz+ preconditions must be met. In particular, a so-called mobile hub number is used in the system, which must be assigned for this function. In addition, your mobile number must be stored in the system . In addition, your cell phone must not suppress the outgoing number. Contact Seabix Support to check whether you have met these prerequisites.

1. Do I have to activate the GSM switch in order to receive calls while on the move?

No, calls on the move are usually received via push via the data connection.

2. When is the GSM fallback suitable and how is it activated?

Sometimes there is no stable WiFi or mobile data connection where you are. In such a case, activate the GSM function so that you are not dependent on a stable data network.

Alternatively, you can activate or deactivate this function in the device settings.

3. What happens with outgoing calls from the Festnetz+ app with activated GSM switch?

Call setup failed

If your Fesntetz + system has not configured a Mobile Hub number and the GSM switch is selected, the call setup will fail.

If you Festnetz+ app with the GSM switch activated, you will be asked whether you want to call the Mobile Hub number. You confirm this. In the background, Festnetz+ a connection to your mobile number and to the called party and connects these transparently.

4. Which number does the called party see when I call on my mobile number?

The called party sees your defined Festnetz+ number at all times, never the mobile phone number.

5. What exactly happens with incoming calls and a GSM fallback?

In the case of incoming calls, the stored mobile number is dialed after a period of approx. 20/25 seconds if the mobile phone cannot be reached via the push notification. The effective connection then takes place via the normal telephony connection and no longer via the data connection.

6. Can I act as a moderator in a group when I dial in with GSM?

An internal participant as moderator is required to start a conference. We have therefore Festnetz+ so that you can call the group in the app even if the GSM switch is activated. Alternatively, you can also save a favorite contact in your mobile phone directory as follows:

  • Conference bridge number ,, PIN of the conference> for example 0589998877,, 123456789
