1. General information

Festnetz+ Collaboration is available for multiple platforms, including Android. In this article we have put together the most important points of the Android app for you.

2. System requirements

Use at least Android 8 to use the collaboration app.

3. Registration

After initial registration, please note the recommended settings in section 5 below.


Use your collaboration credentials to access the mobile application:

domain Enter the domain name here
User name Enter your username here
password enter your password here

Finally, confirm by chopping. You will then be asked about the permissions to be set. Confirm this to ensure proper functionality. You can optionally activate location localization as desired.

5. Recommended settings

The settings menu offers the usual functions already described in other articles. For the Android app, we also recommend making the following settings:

  • Settings > Advanced
    • Native Calls Support (beta): On

6. The user status

  • Tap Keypad
  • Tap on the status icon / avatar
  • Select user status: DND / Away / Offline / Online
  • Enter your status message and select by date and time (optional)
  • Tap the check mark icon to apply the changes

7. Make a call

About contacts PBX live search support eliminates the need to synchronize your company's phone books (PBX). You can use real-time phone book search to make calls. Your local contacts from the device's phonebook also appear in live search results.
Via dial pad

  • Tap Keypad
  • Choose the mode to make a call:
    • VoIP: Make a call using the telephone system (recommended if you have a fast and reliable internet connection)
    • Callback: You will receive a callback from the PBX via the mobile network (make sure your mobile phone number is specified in Settings -> Personal)
    • Direct Call: Make a call over the cellular network
    • Wildix devices registered to your account (WP Phone, Vision/SuperVision, W-AIR Handset/Headset, etc.): Select a device from the list
  • To find a user/contact, start typing the username or number/extension in the search field
  • Tap a user/contact you want to call. Select the number/extension to make a call

Or

  • Enter the number using the keypad
  • Tap the green handset button
Via function keys


  • Tap Keypad and select Function Keys to go to the Function Keys menu
  • Tap a feature key you want to call
  • Select Call from the drop-down list
From company contacts
  • Tap the contact you want to call
  • Dial the number you want to call

From History/Voicemail/
Call group
  • Go to History (All or Missed tab)/Voicemail/Call Groups
  • Tap a user/voicemail message
  • Select Call from the drop-down list:
From the chat
  • Open a chat session with a user
  • Tap the Listener button
  • The call is made automatically

It is also possible to call phone numbers from chat if they start with + and are between 7 and 18 digits long.

From your device's contacts

  • Tap a contact in your Android contacts
  • Tap a phone number you want to call
  • Choose Wildix

8. Battery consumption

Thanks to push notifications, the app no longer needs to be running constantly as it automatically disconnects from Festnetz+ in the background, helping to improve battery usage. When you receive a call/chat, the app will send you a notification even if it is closed.

9. Deactivation of push messages (e.g. when absent)

To completely disable access to Collaboration and stop receiving notifications, you can set your user status to Offline or log out of the app.
